Tshegofatso Moeng, a full-time musician from Johannesburg, is a Fulbright Scholarship recipient who completed his Masters in Opera Performance at the University of Maryland in the USA. His primary instrument is voice but he also plays piano.
His interest in music began when she sang in school and church choirs. In Matric he began vocal lessons and never looked back.
Obsessed with the great artists of the yesteryear: Maria Callas, Franco Corelli, Pierro Cappuccilli, Tito Gobbi, Mario Del Monaco, James King, Tshegofatso also enjoys Bach, Verdi, and Puccini.
Teaching affords Tshegofatso the opportunity to share his knowledge and grow musically by assisting others to gain skills. He strongly believes in the power of music to heal both performers and listeners. Every time he is on stage is a highlight; especially when accompanied by an orchestra.
Tshegofatso has developed confidence as a musician. Mastering a piece of music or vocal technique often translates into him being more self-assured in everyday life.
He also enjoys playing sport, cooking and history.
