Ntombi Ngubane

Alexandria James

Energetic Wits University graduate Ntombi’s studies focused on piano skills, screen composition, classical and jazz voice, and music production. Ntombi currently teaches music and works at Maboneng Studios as a producer and studio engineer. Read More

Pianist and vocalist, Alexandria James completed a BMus at Wits University majoring in composition and community music. He grew up in a house filled with music and began playing the piano when he was 11, moving to the National School of the Arts at 16. Read More

Monica Strydom

Emmanuel Egbebu

Monica plays and teaches seven instruments – piano, flute, oboe, saxophone, clarinet, classical guitar and violin. She holds a Teacher’s Licentiate in oboe. Monica’s love of music started with piano lessons at the age of four and her high school piano teacher played a big role in her decision to study music and forge a career in the field. Read More

Music has taught Emmanuel discipline and developed his social skills. Composing and arranging his own pieces allows opportunities for artistic expression. In a rapidly changing world, Emmanuel sees music as constant and consistent. Through music his students develop problem solving skills, unleash creativity and learn to handle pressure. Read More

Tshegofatso Moeng

Adriaan Gerrys

Tshegofatso Moeng, a full-time musician from Johannesburg, is a Fulbright Scholarship recipient who completed her Masters in Opera Performance at the University of Maryland in the USA. Her primary instrument is voice but she also plays piano. Read More

Starting off in several youth orchestras, Adriaan now performs with the Pretoria Symphony Orchestra and Capital Chamber Orchestra as well as various string ensembles. He is currently the substitute concertmaster for the Pretoria Symphony Orchestra. Read More

Travis Mc Dowall

Peter Orzcy

Travis Mc Dowall completed his Bachelor of Music Honours in composition and performance. He plays and teaches piano, voice and guitar. Currently he is learning to play the didgeridoo and bass. Read more

Music was a central part of Peter’s family life; his uncle a professional guitarist. He studied drama and jazz at Pretoria Technikon and completed grades in Guitar and Theory through UNISA. Read more
