The GHM Eisteddfod gives the child or young adult the opportunity to perform their favourite piece. They will receive a detailed report and certificate on their performance.
The GHM Eisteddfod is created specifically for musicians to feel free to perform and live their dream through the difficult time of the pandemic. This will give the opportunity to motivate the participant to reach for higher goals in their music education. The Eisteddfod will be for all levels, from beginners to advanced musicians. Each instrument will have its own category with a specific age group. Two main sections will be available; Classical and Contemporary with sub-categories Piano, Strings, Woodwind, Brass, Percussion, Guitar, and Vocals.
The Evaluation will consist of a detailed Evaluation Report from Dr. Christo Jankowitz (Global House Of Music Teacher and a Lecturer at UNISA). The Evaluation will be focused on the following aspects during the performance; posture, hand placement, the performance of the piece, the accuracy of the piece, style, character, emotion, and feeling of the performance. Each performance will be evaluated differently according to the performance and level of the participant.
Participation for the Eisteddfod will be held through an Online Portal via our Global House of Music Website. The Video will be submitted on our Website and not longer than a specific time frame according to the age group. A Video Tutorial is available as a guideline.
Selected participants will be invited to participate in our GHM Gala Award Ceremony in March 2022 (with Covid-19 Protocol). The Ceremony will give the opportunity to perform the piece live in front of an audience and receive a special reward for participation. A panel of judges will decide the overall GHM Eisteddfod Winner. The winners will also be added to our Website and Social Media Page.
